Reciprocal Borrowing / Cooperative Library Agreements

Beulah Heights University is a member of GPALS (Georgia’s Private Academic Libraries) and CLC (Christian Library Consortium which is a part of Association of Christian Librarians). Because of these memberships, BHU has a Reciprocal Borrowing Agreements with the members of GPALS and CLC consortiums.

This Reciprocal Borrowing system enables BHU students, currently enrolled (with good standings), to have the library borrowing privilege of print books from other libraries which are members of GPALS and CLC. Besides this, they may also have the privilege of access to their digital and other on-site resources without any cost or fee.

They will be governed by the rules, regulations and policies of the lending libraries. Please check the lending libraries policies with regards to number of book check-outs, length of check-out period, overdue fines, fees etc.

 

Guidelines for sign-in

  1. GPALS: To receive the borrowing privileges form a GPALS libraries, a student need to have a current BHU Student ID/ Library card. They can go to any participating GPALS Library of their choice and present this ID card for identification. Once the participating library gives the permission, they can borrow books and use their resources.
    The BHU ID /Library card must be updated each semester.
  2. CLC: To receive the borrowing privileges from a CLC participating libraries, a student need to fill-up this Authorization Form. Complete only top half of the form with your full name, address, telephone etc. After you put your signature and date, please send this to the BHU Library for verification.
    After it is verified, BHU Library will send this Form back to the student by mail or through scanning. After this, a student can take this Form to any CLC participating library to receive the borrowing privileges. This Form need to be updated each semester.
