Coaching Minor - Course descriptions
Course 1: Coaching Essentials
In this course the basic skills of coaching are taught and demonstrated. Coaching terms are defined and fundamental models of the coaching profession are discussed allowing the student to explore their coaching aptitude.
Course 2: Whole Life Coaching
In this course the student will delve into their life discerning patterns, repeated behaviors, disappointments and joys; and how all that might affect them as a coach. A personal life vision, mission, and core values are established and deployed in a coaching context.
Course 3: Essentials of Practical Leadership Coaching
In this course the student will understand the most common challenges all leaders face. The student will also receive pragmatic solutions positioning them to coach their clients.
Course 4: Coaching Specialties
In this course the student will be exposed to specialized areas they will encounter in their coaching and demonstrate how coaching skills are transferrable to all areas of life. This will also help the student identify their coaching interest and niche.
Course 5: The Business of Coaching
In this course the student will explore their coaching strengths and how to organize their coaching business for a maximized revenue stream. This comprehensive course will strategically guide the student from concept to a coaching plan
Course 6: Coaching the Coach
This course is designed so that the student can train other coaches – coach train the trainer; and speak clearly on all things coaching.
Coaching Assessments and Professional Certification
In this course the student will be exposed to a variety of assessment tools and guided through a coach certification process that suits the students professional coaching plans.
