Bernada Nicole Baker most recently served as an Adjunct Instructor at Moraine Valley College in Palos Hills, Illinois prior to her relocation to Georgia. She has also held positions as Director of Camp Programs at The Cambridge School of Chicago and as a Health Research Specialist and GEAR UP Program Director at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is the founder of B’Encouraged Consulting, Inc. an organization that specializes in youth programs, business consulting, leadership development training, health education workshops and pastoral care and counseling. Bernada is the Founder of The Sisters in the Spirit International Ministries (www.sisterinthespirit.org) and The Princess Within Mentoring Program, Inc. She also served as the Illinois State President for Teens N Power International Ministries, a ministry that aims to empower, educate and motivate teenagers across the world. She is a Certified Youth Development Practitioner and has a proven history of success with working to empower others to achieve their dreams. Bernada is a sought after speaker and workshop facilitator who has traveled across the United States and to Africa motivating and empowering individuals to discover their purpose and to pursue it with passion.
Bernada’s dedication to playing an intricate role in the change that she wishes to see in the world, has earned her a reputation as a passionate advocate for community issues and positive social change. Bernada is currently pursuing her PhD in Community and Social Services. Bernada obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Eastern Illinois University. She received a Dual Master’s of Business Administration and a Master’s of Public Health Degree from Saint Xavier University. Bernada obtained her Master’s of Divinity Degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL. She is affectionately known as the Midwife of Motivation, because of her commitment to helping others give birth to the potential that lies within.
